At 73 such devises would seem more scifi than real… yet in today’s world of Military and sorry to say even law-enforcement… such devices are showing up.
“The Active Denial System (ADS), is a non-lethal, directed-energy weapon developed by the U.S. military, designed for area denial, perimeter security and crowd control. Informally, the weapon is also called the heat ray since it works by heating the surface of targets, such as the skin of targeted human beings.”
While not attempting to mirror the actual devices, this asset bridges between the real and unreal. Leaning toward maintained military hardware with operator seating and computerized monitor control. This is the Vue 9 file version that will be joined in my store along with an obj/fbx version. Both are based on my modeling efforts in Modo 9.
The main barrel and support arms can be rotated to change elevation. For those uneven terrain situations, the support feet can be raised and lowered. While Vue has terrific metal procedural materials I have simply upped the reflection properties of those metal items to be more chrome-like. The center of the gun is however a Vue glass material.
