The Kira Hat is a Kasa inspired by the design worn by the samurai, which is named “jingasa”. The jingasa was one among the several types of kasa but irrefutably the most famous worldwide. The jingasa was also worn by the “ashigaru” who were soldiers who fought alongside the samurai.

I aimed to retain the original design of the jingasa while adding a bit of complexity to its simple but functionally protective design. 288 joints control the surrounding hanging adornments of links, gems, and my original design of what I call “tablets”.

Contrary to the solid iron design of the jingasa, I created armored panels that make any warrior immediately intimidating. The Kira Hat was created in ZBrush and rigged in Maya.

The Kira Hat can be worn by Genesis 3, Genesis 8, Genesis 8.1, and Genesis 9 characters of any gender.
